How did you get started?
My best friend was going to be in band in the 7th grade and I wanted to be in her class. So to make things quick and easy for my mother, I picked an instrument that the school furnished…the oboe.
What do you do when you’re not playing with ROCO?
I play with the Houston Ballet and Houston Grand Opera orchestras. I just completed my 23rd year of teaching oboe at Sam Houston State University. I also free-lance and teach workshops and master classes around the Houston area.

Interests outside music:
I have my own private practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist in The Woodlands. I enjoy working with people and helping them to find their passions in life. My husband and I also love to travel, cook (husband trying to work on this), garden, and be with friends and family.
