Season Opener
October 22 & 23, 2011

Season Opener featuring Guest Conductor, Mei-Ann Chen, conducting Martinu’s Toccata, Mozart #40, and Finzi’s Songs (with surprises) performed with baritone soloist, Timothy Jones, at The Church of St. John the Divine, with ROCO Rooters music education/childcare program (Oct 22) and First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood (Oct 23).

ROCO in Concert
February 18 & 19, 2012

Our February concert featured guest conductor, Kazem Abdullah, our principal cellist, Richard Belcher (of the Grammy-nominated Enso Quartet), as soloist performing the Haydn Cello Concerto, a world premiere by composer and jazz pianist, Paul English, as well as Schubert #4. Performed at The Church of St. John the Divine, with ROCO Rooters music education/childcare program (Feb 18) and The Houstonian Hotel (Feb 19).

Season Finale
April 21, 2012

The April Season Finale featuring Grammy-nominated guest conductor, Alastair Willis, and the world premiere of a new piece by Anthony Brandt called “Maternity – Women’s Voices Through the Ages,” with Libretto by David Eagleman, and sung by Karol Bennett. Also on the program: pieces by Wagner, Rossini, and Kodaly, at The Church of St. John the Divine, with ROCO Rooters music education/childcare program.
