Featuring the beautiful music of Respighi, melodious tunes of Mendelssohn, and bombastic drums, the ROCO season finale will be a blast for classical music aficionados and families alike. Guest conductor, Andre Raphel, will present an exciting program that includes the Houston premiere of a commissioned percussion concerto by internationally acclaimed composer Jonathan Leshnoff, performed by percussionists Matt McClung and Todd Meehan.
Sponsored in part by the City of Houston through the Miller Theatre Advisory Board
Free, assigned seat tickets are available at the Miller Theatre Box Office on first-come first-serve basis while supplies last between 10:30 am and 1:00 pm on the day of the performance . Remaining tickets are given out one hour before curtain, 7:00 pm. Or bring a blanket and sit on the lawn!
A few things to note if you are unfamiliar with this venue:
Parking at Hermann Park is Limited
Parking is quite limited in Hermann Park, especially on a beautiful spring Sunday afternoon. The largest amount of parking is at the Houston Zoo, behind Miller Outdoor, which closes at 6pm. Expect delays when parking.
Arrival time: 7:00-7:30pm, start time 8pm
The Miller Theatre Box office opens at 7pm, and you can arrive and find your seats at that time.
Due to traffic delays and limited parking we suggest arriving early. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks and just enjoy a relaxed evening in the park!
Tickets: Please bring these tickets with you
Unlike most other ROCO events, your tickets correspond to numbered seats. You must have them with you. There will not be a ROCO will call for this event. If you forget your tickets at home, you can check with the Miller Theatre box office to see if they have other seats available, and if not the lawn is always open.
Seating: Unfilled seats are released at 7:45pm
Again all Miller Theatre seats are numbered, not General Admission like most ROCO events. Once you find your seats and get comfortable just keep in mind that 15 minutes before show time (7:45 pm) any unfilled seats are released to the public. Even if you have a numbered ticket, if you are not in your seat, it is up for grabs.
So bring a snack and a drink and we’ll see you Sunday April 21 in the park!
