The final of four ROCO Chamber Concerts events hosted by Gremillion &Co. Fine Art, features a performance by ROCO Founder and prinicipal oboist, Alecia Lawyer.
Performance will include works by:
William Grant Still, Ralph Vaughn Williams, Eugene Bozza, Maurice Ravel, and Camille Saint-Saens
Alecia Lawyer is the founder, executive director and principal oboist of the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra. With a Masters degree in Music from Juilliard and a Bachelors degree from SMU, Alecia has an eclectic background that includes stints as a performer, recording artist, radio host, soloist, and lecturer. She was a finalist for 2009 Texas Musician of the Year, and was named one of “Houston’s Most Influential Women in 2010” by Houston Women Magazine.
Tenor Eduardo Tercero has worked with Ars Lyrica and Houston Chamber Choir and is praised by conductors for his “wealth of technical skill and passion.” Eduardo was listed in Symphony Magazine’s 2008 Guide to Emerging Artists.
When not performing with ROCO, Rodney Waters works with Music Doing Good, an organization dedicated to philanthropy through music. Rodney has also worked with the Houston Symphony and Musiqa, as well as being an advocate for the use of art in service of social causes.
