The ROCO Brass Quintet is a group of brass musicians drawn from the larger ROCO chamber orchestra who also perform as a quintet at events such as Yuletide at Bayou Bend, Beer and Brass at Saint Arnold, and other performances in Houston and beyond.
Within the last year, the ROCO Brass Quintet has performed for multiple concert series throughout Houston, West University, and Fredericksburg, TX, and Lake Charles, LA. The Quintet performs with its own identity, yet carries ROCO’s signature trademark of musician/audience interaction. The ROCO Brass Quintet is distinct from other professional groups in Houston in that it champions modern classical music, while also performing music from the Renaissance and Baroque eras, as well as jazz music by American composers such as Duke Ellington. The ensemble offers a unique concert experience while upholding the familiar ROCO characteristics of virtuosic performance and approachability.
The ROCO Brass Quintet is comprised of George Chase, trumpet; Jason Adams, trumpet; Gavin Reed, horn; Thomas Hulten, trombone; and Jared Lantzy, bass trombone
